Dreadful Tour de France Coverage – Bring Back Eurosport!

I’ve never been so disappointed with coverage of the Tour de France. TNT Sports’ handling of this iconic event has been nothing short of abysmal.

Firstly, the constant pixelation and poor reception made it nearly impossible to follow the action. It’s 2025 – how can a premium broadcaster not provide a stable HD stream? It felt like watching through a fogged-up window.

Secondly, the volume and timing of adverts was a disgrace. Key moments were cut off or interrupted just to bombard us with the same repetitive commercials over and over again. Cycling fans tune in for the sport – not for a loop of unrelated ads that ruin the experience.

And let’s talk about the price – over £30 for what used to be quality coverage through Eurosport. Eurosport gave us uninterrupted races, insightful commentary, and proper respect for cycling as a sport. TNT has turned it into a cash-grab sideshow with no sense of flow or expertise.

The Trustpilot reviews speak volumes – hundreds of fans have voiced the same frustrations. This isn’t a minor technical glitch; it’s a complete failure to deliver what we paid for.

TNT: cycling fans deserve better. Either fix the service and respect the sport – or give the rights back to those who can. Had to go to ITV 4 !

@Suestar59  Your not talking to TNT the channel owners, Sky are not responsible for the content of 3rd party Channels you need to be raising thsi toi TNT themselves.

@Suestar59

Perhaps you need to direct your comments to Warner Brothers Discovery/TNT. It's not a Sky issue.

Firstly, you make a number of points I agree with (adverts for example)

Today, I didn't experience any pixelation problems during the coverage. I think pixelation tends to be a local interference issue.

But it is something Sky have no control over, tnt sports and the eurosport brand ate both owned by WBD (parent company of Discovery plus)

Hi @Suestar59 I have followed Cycling since about 1964 and was very disappointed when Eurosport stopped broadcasting.   However, I have been watching quite happily on ITV4 with the highlights on ITVX later in the evening. There is no way I would pay for TNT (I even cancelled Sky Sport as it was too expensive) so I'm not sure what I will do next year as this is the last year that ITV will be broadcasting Cycling.

As annoying as it is the other posters are correct that it's not a Sky issue and needs to be discussed with Warner Brothers / Discovery.

Yes, anyone experiencing break up and pixelisation should contact Sky to arrange an engineer visit even if TNT appears to be the only channel affected (dish alignment issues commonly only affect a single transponder at first).

This is the last season that ITV will have the Tour do France. From next year it will be only on TNT. Make the most of it before it goes! A small point ITV4 on Freeview is not HD while TNT is.

TNT coverage of the Vuelta very similar, poor quality viewing def not HD. Like going back 20 years ?????

Re: Dreadful Tour de France Coverage – Bring Back Eurosport!

TNT coverage of the Vuelta is no different, in quality, than Eurosport's was. It is certainly HD (apart from helicopter break ups) on the Discovery+ app. I've not used the Puck's linear channels to watch it because the Discovery+ app has many more features.
