Disney+ - have I been misled or am I missing something.

Last week, I signed up for a new contract. I was told ..

Furthermore, with the Sky Signature package, you get FREE access to:
Disney+
Hayu
HBO Max
This adds more value to your subscription and saves you an extra £20 per month.

I have a Sky+ HD box and obviously that can't run the Disney+ app.

But I do have a Smart TV that supports the Disney+ app.  So is the offer limited to Sky Q/Glass/Stream users (ie. the offer is meaningless to me)? Or is there a way of activating a disney+ userid/password that allows me access via a Smart TV / laptop/mobile.

@Mike500  Whilst you can view via an app on a smart tv the offer is limited to Q glass or stream on the basis that the offer has to be activated through sky hardware first before being able to use it on a smart tv

hi @Mike500

As a SKY +HD customer, I am afraid, you have been misinformed:

See:

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-TV/Big-News-Disney-HBO-Max-amp-Hayu-are-coming-to-Sky/ba-p/5204197

Where it does state for Disney+:

It’s not included with TV Essentials, Sky Basics, or any Sky+ packages.

@Mike500 HBO content can be viewed on the Sky+HD Box and can be found within the Catch Up Tile.

Re: Disney+ - have I been misled or am I missing something.

Thanks, I suspected this was the case.  The problem here is that the staff in whatever they call "the retentions team" were aware  that I had a SKY+ HD Box yet used the free access to Disney+ as an incentive to sign up to a deal.
