Discovery+

Can anyone explain to me what is actually covered by the Discovery+ subscription that is 'free' within my Marketplace? I can watch TNT Sports on Sky via my tv but not if using the Discovery+ app on my phone or via Skygo. It says to contact the provider. I've contacted Discovery+ and they say it's a Sky issue but Sky say it's a Discovery+ issue. I previously had BT Sports and never had this problem. Baffled beyond belief!!

Thanks Mark39 - I've done all that and my Sky account and Discovery+ are linked but still no joy!! And no joy getting through to Sky to talk to someone

@ianbamford  - I had the exact same issue 5 days ago.

 

first question- when you check the app registrations on your account via My Sky does it show an active subscription of discovery+. This will help determine where the issue is. I noticed my initial subscription cancel after 24 hours and I had to reset it up again following the on screen prompts. However to get it to work I had to clear the cookies and browser cache on the mobile device I was using to link the accounts.

@MarkGoldsmith thank you. I've done all that and still no luck. Subscription says it's active. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Discovery+ app but still getting the message to contact my provider to find out how to watch and can't watch via Sky Go. Conundrum!!

@ianbamford - does that message come up just for sport programming or TNt Sports and Eurosport through the discovery+ app or is it all programming?

 

generally it takes 48hours for the discovery + sub to be updated once activated for the sports/premium content but the general discovery shows work immediately once activated.

@MarkGoldsmith it's just the sports as I can see all other content.
Right now I can watch live snooker but not the live women's rugby, Futsal or Moto GP which are all on TNT Sports. But I can watch them on the telly.

Yeah that makes sense.

 

if it's not been 48 hours since you activated it you just have to wait. If it's been longer phone Sky customer services. When asked by the automated system what the problem is say "Sky stream" and you should get through to the correct team without having to go to the general helpdesk and be transferred.
