It appears that the Discovery+ basic subscription no longer offers sports, specifically cycling. This was the main reason for subscribing at all to Sky so without access to cycling, the TV package is no longer attractive. Can I get a refund as the original contract offer is broken? I don't want to pay for something not being used.

I'd doubt it, as the changes to Discovery + tiers are outside of Sky's control.
