If you have a smart TV or a streaming platform (if that's the right term) like Prime video (which in my case I access via a Fire TV stick) you can download the discovery plus app and watch it on TV. I am only interested in cycling so can't speak for other sports but the on demand content goes back several months at least.

I have a great old Sony tv and use a Chromecast to make it 'smart'.

I stream from various apps on my smartphone but it's not as convenient as watching programmes on Sky, on which I also have TNT Sport.

Fair comment @FastEddie1 if you have TNT sports directly from BT then you have DiscoveryPlus Premium wouldn't it be a lot easier to use the DiscoveryPlus app on your Sky Q box and login with your BT details

I have free DiscoveryPlus basic from Sky and DiscoveryPlus Premium with BT

Re: Eurosport

I am the same, Eurosport, whilst not having a perfect snooker coverage (frequently shut transmission down before match end) you can get used to them by recording following program.

I am going to subscribe with WST at least can watch when I want at a fraction of the cost.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25

look at the LENGTH of winter events on EUROSPORT on 25/26/27

and look at it on TNT only 4 has any eurosport WINTER content and its 30-45 min slots

you show 1/3 at 02.30 then skiing 08.15 to 10.00 and 10.45-12.15

you look at Eurosport in Europa on the 1st then its almost 24 hour winter sports  /Cycling on both channel (inc snooker)

i only get EPG data 48 hours ahead so i can put info here later in the week

And your point is what exactly actually TNT Sports has 10 channels. I'm not bothered about Eurosport 1 Spain

If TNT can show 10 football matches that all start at the same time and only three shown on the linear  channels the winter sports should be a doddle then.

Also could you type it out as I'm struggling to read the screen shot

A German company stumped up and made a deal to continue having Eurosport 1 on their networks. Of course I have no idea if that's the same as the Eurosport 1 that we used to have over here on Sky and on cable.

This is from WST, Play:

"Fans in territories where snooker is not otherwise broadcast will be able to watch the action live from every event on the WST calendar.

Those in territories covered by existing broadcast agreements will be able to watch matches back 30 days after broadcast, subject to availability."

So you cant watch snooker live in the UK except on TNT/Discovery.

Eurosport in Germany and other European countries tend to have a different schedule to each other, with the exception of major events like French Open Tennis, recent Olympic Games which they have the rights to.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Its different, WDB aren't shutting Eurosport in Europe yet, the UK and ROI market is the first one.

Unless i'm mistaken in most european markets TNT Sports isn't a thing so Eurosport is the only sporting channel that WDB owns outside the UK/ROI market.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25

yes for TENNIS,GOLF,SNOOKER which rights are owned by Warners

but WINTER SPORTS and CYCLING are owned by the EUROPEAN BROADCASTING UNION

and long single days event coverage is almost universal on all EUROSPORT countries in Europa

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25

the EU have rules to not allow companies like Trump Network Television to own all of a channel as that and sky are both 100 USA owned .so TNT is not a thing in Europa

You do know that WBD own Eurosport too though, yes? Not just TNT?
