Post created to reflect topic being discussed.

Be aware that the decision to close the Eurosport channels and transfer content to the TNT sports channels was made by the channel’s parent company Warner Brothers Discovery.

It won't be available on any platform in the UK as WBD are closing the channel and moving all content to TNT and/or the DIscovery+ aopp

Eurosport closing / Discovery+

It's been announced that Eurosport is closing in the UK on 28th February and all content is moving to TNT Sports.

This is terrible news for cycling fans and others. I'm wondering how this will affect our Sky subscription which currently includes Discovery+ Standard (which is being withdrawn). Will we just get Discovery+ Basic for the same price? TNT Sports currently costs £30 a month to add.

Probably not their fault but this might tip the scales slightly towards cancelling Sky for us.

@ChrisN82   I have merged your post to this existing thread that is discussing the same topic, a new thread isn't required.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - January 2025

I'd started a new thread as it's broader than a change to the TV Guide. This seems to have splintered off anyway - maybe you can change the thread title?

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - January 2025

so will this means your sky contract is being changed and that you can cancel for free?

I wouldn't think so as the Sky contract has always allowed for the fact that channels come and go, and in this case the actions of the channel owner are outside of Sky's control.

@coltec1956 you would have to call sky about the possibility of cancelling as renewals don't normally include a new cooling off period

@coltec1956  You shoudl also be aware that channel changes are allowed within the T & C's you have agreed to so that in itself may not be a legitimate reason for Sky to accept your cancellation
