Re: Changes to the TV Guide - April 2025

there is Zero logic to say UKTV has closed HD on satellite they do not own and still continue on stream they do not own

that like selling a house and telling people they you can still come in back door ...

Unfortunately the only person showing zero logic in the arguement on this thread is you. You seem to be happily ignoring all the posts and links that people have contributed to the thread showing that your theory is completely incorrect yet you seem unwilling to believe it.

Or like saving the very considerable amount of money which I mentioned previously due to the reduction in data volume transiting the satellite link...

Putting SD over satellite costs the channel owner less than HD over satellite, and HD over the internet is even cheaper.  In a time of collapsing television advertising revenue and splintering audiences, such things matter.

Depends if they are smoking in the room or gone outside to smoke like they should.

A bit off topic @ZKTV

Fair comment @ZyloKai but in all fairness to the other superusers time and time again they provided the correct information and also with regards to U (UKTV) which has changes to do with the Sky EPG in April

The question was asked 28th March 2025 Page 1 of this thread a reply was given or maybe two end off

Then 4th April 2025 a certain individual asked another question ZKTV.

Apart from my last reply everything was on topic which I thought was relevant to U&W changes within the Sky EPG for April.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - April 2025

Look, at the end of the day, I think it's complete nonsense that Sky has decided to weaken Sky Q and try to get people to switch to Sky Glass/Stream, by shutting down the HD feeds of U&W, U&Yesterday and Sky History 2. Let me tell you, that's not something to excuse, that's not something to accept.

Again, those aren't Sky channels: it's BBC cost-cutting, and in a few years time Q won't have any channels at all because there's not going to be any satellites up there.
