Posted by a Sky employeeIt was indeed a great episode, got my weekly dragon dose 🐉
I still think that Syrax did not grow at all since the first episode what is a bit disappointing 🤔

Yes agree Syrax doesn't seem as huge as I thought but maybe she will grow. I don't know if female dragons are smaller than the males, probably so.

Posted by a Sky employeeThere are a couple of theories going around about that.
I prefer to think the second one 😄 but it's true that she is one of the most useless of the dragons, I read that she is willing to eat only goats and cattle, but refuses to hunt for herself. 🤔 Still a beauty 🐉

I think the fact that Syrax was chained for so long has also kept her a bit smaller.
An interesting fact is that dragons will only accept one rider unlike a horse who will have many riders.
My favourite dragon is still Drogon at the moment, the saddest scene ever when he picked up the dead Danaerys after sniffing her. I still end up in floods of tears when watching that scene.

A concept 'borrowed' from the Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey, I suspect, who was doing dragons before GRRM started writing.

I'm surprised no-one has picked them up for television, as they successfully bridge the fantasy and science fiction genres.
Also, there are more than 20 books...

Possibly but everyone steals a bit from someone elses writing. Look at JK Rowling, she stole loads from Tolkein.
GRR Martin is still a brilliant novelist

And rather more from 'Jennings', which no-one remembers now.

Season 2 certainly started a lot quicker than Season 1 did 😀. The big question is can they keep it up for the entire season?

Liking the new titles for for Series 2, better than than the poorly done bloodline of Series1.
Do hope the tapestry changes through the series, much like the Game of Thones titles did, with each individual programme change of location.
One criticism from me,
The occasional whispering dialogue in House of the Dragon, it's hard to hear sometimes and sounds mumbled at times.

25 Jun 2024 05:24 PM
