Barry hasn't been available on Sky for months (other than to purchase in Sky Store), but today for the first time it featured in the 'what to watch' email I received.

I see that someone else said the same thing back in September, but does it mean anything at all? The link in the email didn't go anywhere useful.

It might be worth sending an email to the Viewer Relations team about this - viewerR@sky.uk

Let them know it has been mentioned in the latest email that you have received.
