I spoke to Apple support today at length regarding their app issue

apparently if you have bt broadband or sky broadband the are blocking the apple app with some updated security thing

Apple are working hard to get this fixed within a few days he told me. Said their may have to do some changes 

hope that helps because bits been driving me mad,

I did speak again to a sky person who said it wasn't them and she gave me the Apple no.

so keep fingers crossed we will have our app back very soon

Apple TV via Sky Q - unable to connect saying to check internet

As of a few days ago I cannot open Apple TV via my Sky Q box. The message says that it cannot connect and to check the internet.

 

The internet is good, the Sky Q box confirms that, and everything else using the internet in all devices in the house is fine. Nonetheless I have restarted my router and Sky Q box but to no avail. I use ethernet rather than WiFi to connect the Sky Q and that is proven to be fine.

 

Looking at past queries it seems this is not a new problem but the suggested fixes I have tried have made no difference.

 

Anybody and ideas please?

No appletv

Apple TV won't work on skyq connected to tv .  We have sky mobiles,internet and iPad. It's still working on those thoug.

Thank you , I have sky glass , it won't allow that command I followed steps 1-2 and can go no further , I hate to sound like a numb skull which I may well be dealing with tech .  I have gone to settings and pressed refresh all apps ? It's strange so many customers are having g the same issue ? Thanks again

I just spoke to the tech support for sky . They are dealing with as of 9 am this morning and assured me it won't take longer than 2/3 days ! To fix . Oh dear

This just isn't true. I can cast from a phone from the same IP to a smart TV, Sky doesn't work. Tried on both Vodafone and Sky broadband. Apple are having you on...

Apple app

Cannot open the Apple app, comes up with could not connect to Apple tv

check internet connection and try again.

all other apps are okay, I have refreshed them switched off box and internet etc

it has been like this since I went to watch something on Friday. I can access it on my other devices
