Ad breaks - come on sky !

Can someone explain why there are 8 ad breaks during one episode of Star Trek Voyager?!!! The first ad break was literally after the opening credits !!! Ridiculous

Which linear sky station was this broadcast on?

In an hour long programme, sky usually only have 3 ad breaks in the middle of it, so this feels very strange.

Particularly as it would break Ofcom regulations.

@Shropshirelad55 If you're talking about Voyager on the Paramount+ app then it's nothing to do with Sky. You need to direct your anger to Paramount+. I suspect they put so many ad breaks in the programmes on there so you get fed up and upgrade to the ad free version. 

You're lucky you don't live in America - their TV would drive you mad with the frequency of ad breaks!

This sounds very much like Paramount+; their ads are obnoxious both in frequency and length. The 1966-2095 Trek series are best watched on Netflix. Sorely tempted to take out a seperate highest tier Paramount+ subscription for Strange New Worlds series 3. 

ido wish Paramount+ offered a 'pay the difference' tier for Dky Cinema subscribers as per Netflix as their shows are almost unwatchable on the included with ads tier.

I was in the US back in 2006, I tried to watch Aliens v Predator on a local channel, and I think it was like 3 or 4 hours long with all the ads. Ads every 5 minutes. I still have no idea what it's about, lol.

  I would say it's worth getting the full premium package if you want to watch in 4K, that way there won't be any ads. Even the Standard package gives you HD and no ads.

I did have a quick check on the P+ site to make sure my facts are correct, and I noticed that their current monthly rates are a tad high. 🤔
