why are still advertising free internet calls on talk

after six months of 'free' use of my telephone to make local calls I find I have been charged £162.49. I feel the continued advertising of the product without clear instruction that phone calls using the router will be charged as land line calls is dishonest. Why are Sky still using the same advertising which patiently catches out the unwary?

You would have to ask Sky, perhaps by way of a complaint. They won't reply to your post here.

I expect they would you to the Tariff Guide which clearly sets out the charges for all calls.

I don't think that's 'advertised' as such (although Sky Talk may well be using VOIP).  It is certainly possible you've encountered the very confusing way Sky does their billing listing though, which is supposed to indicate that the voice call service does not require an additional subscription.

@Ted666  If you have Pay as you Talk all calls are charged

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

It's misleading. The Pay as you Talk package is free, in that there's no monthly subscription, but ALL calls are charged.

Other call packages are charged monthly.
