Re: re-port landline

If the number was transferred from sky to community fibre and went active with them then sky can request a number port from gamma when reactivating the line as long as it's less than 31 days since it was ceased

if the number was ceased when the sky line was cancelled and not transferred to community fibre then no provider is allowed to recover their own ceased number by ofcom, it would need to be recovered by a third party ie bt

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Pizmac it's a customer Community. I doubt Sky could arrange for you to receive it any sooner.

Re: re-port landline

You should be able to do that but you need to get sky to do the cancellation by transferring over the service within the cooling off period

Re: re-port landline

Hello

I moved to BT /EE inorder to port my old landline number  with BB. During the cooling off period I contacted Sky to move back to Sky, the transfer was set for 29 Feb but on the 27 Feb Sky emailed me to contact Sky when I spoke to the staff I was asvised they were unable to port my old landline number from BT/EE.

Please can you advise why the fibre optic DV phone line was not ported back to Sky this should be straight forward. When I spoke with BT/EE they said Sky cancelled the request to port the landline but I called Sky the staff advised EE/BT refused. Both providers are giving different reasons.

I hope you can advise and help me what needs to be done for me to go back to Sky.

Thank you

Re: re-port landline

No

order recovery is a team that deal with delayed order

sky number port team is dedicated team that deals with transferring numbers to and from other companies

Re: re-port landline

Could be something as simple as the bt/ee order not being fully complete so preventing the number export but only they can check and find out the real reason and ideally get it fixed
