old gpo 300 series phone

i have just bought a old 300 series gpo phone , i get ring bells and can talk but the roto pulse tone seems not to work ? is the sky hub set up for the new dial tone only . the roto inside looks like a good repair  any answers or quick fixs please

This has come up before. I don't think Sky's network supports pulse dialling, I'm afraid.

according to the internet bt lines still do , is this right as sky run off bt

Actually both BT and Sky (and every other provider apart from Virgin) run off Openreach. I can only guess that line characteristics are set by service providers.

if the sky nub is new tone only , I bought this from china 15 .00 but need help with the wiring ? red white blue coming out of the phone and this device just wants two the old wires fixing to it  ( 3 new wires which two colours )  rj 11 out              help please.

 

i can buy a rj11 to bt line fitment at sky

Are you plugging the handset into the back of a Sky Broadband Hub?

 

If so, it's the characteristics of the ATA built into the Hub which matter, not the 'line' (which no longer really exists)
