moved house in September talk phone installed with new number. No receiver at time of engineer's visit but then once I had the receiver it has not worked and no dial tone and unable to make or receive calls. The line seems dead. Any suggestions?

No it doesnt - my phone is linked into the same box as my hub which has a phone sign on it. Should be straightforward really - think it is the line into the house.
