new sky customer and landline not working

I am a new Sky customer. When I installed my modem, my broadband started working but my landline is still not working. Any help, please?

Does your router have a 'Voice' light which is lit? If so, is your phone plugged into the router? It won't work from the wall socket.

When did Sky say your broadband service would be ctivated (that may not be the same date as you connected your router)?

It is already activated. I am using broadband but no landline.
