I switched to Sky when I was not using my land line and I did not transfer the land line number. However now I want to use a land line again, so how do I get a new number?

It may be shown via the MySky app, or if not, dial 17070 from your landline and the recorded message will tell you what it is. Or, of course, call your mobile and the number will be shown on your mobile's screen.
Edited to add: from your user name, I wonder if you're in Ireland? I'm not sure whether 17070 works in Ireland.

thank Mark, yes I am in Ireland. I don't get any tone when I plug landline headset into phone outlet on sky box, so doen't seem connected to network.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDoes your Sky Broadband Hub have a 'Voice' LED on the front panel, which is illuminated amber or green? If so, your phone needs to be plugged into the phone socket at the back of the Hub, rather than the wall socket.

Find out moreOK, if restarting your Hub by switching off at the plug for 30 seconds or so doesn't result in an illuminated Voice light, it's probably best to speak to Sky. We can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish?

Did the re-boot but the Voice LED did not light up. So would be good if Sky messagign team can contact me. Thanks Niall

Look out for a blue/red chat 'bubble' towards the bottom of the page. Replies from Sky may not be instant, so check back from time to time for updates. Once the chat is activated it remains open for 48 hours, after which it will automatically close..
