connecting a 4 landline telephones to the system

Currently have two fixed landline telephones and a hands free telephone with 2 links.  Because the location of the router the first link (phone plugged into the router) is a true landline - should this be the hands free base station?

The base station does need to be plugged into the sky hub

I have tried with the hands free base station plugged into the Router and it makes no difference - i.e. still only one telephone rings

The base station should link via radio frequency to any sub stations whilst the true wired landline would be redundant.  Its either the base station set up or the true landline
