My mother who is with BT has since 19/9/ been getting an enaged tone when trying to ring my home phone. I reported it to sky and they sent an engineer who couldn't find anything wrong even though sky technical said there was a fault on the line. It was then reported to BT and they did something outside the house on 23/9 and she could then get through to me. A couple of days later it happened again and today BT sent an engineer to her house to check wiring which was all OK. The openreach man was most of the day checking and he even got in touch with his supervisor and they couldn't find anything wrong and had never heard of a fault like this and they suggested reporting it again to BT.This was done and BT have suggested that this could only happen if the number was blocked in some way. I haven't b locked the number and have today taken sky shield off completely.
I wonder if anyone has had this before. My mother is 94 years old and Iam her carer so she needs to be able to contact me. Sorry this is so long but we seem to be going round in circles
