Why is sky talk shield not available on my line?

My land line is controlled by open reach and service provided by Sky. Why does this prevent me using Sky talk shield.

Telephone and broadband services for a small number of customers are provided by Sky outside of their network, using leased lines. Such lines don't support some of Sky's telephony services, including the Sky Talk Shield,  I'm afraid.
