Land line down cannot arrange engineer as I have an order in for an upgrade no one at sky can cancel that appointment to arrange a new appointment,we have heath issues and have to wait 48 hours for the cancellation to take place anyone else had issues like this ,2 hours on the phone last night and one hour this morning and I have to ring back to see if the cancellation has gone through ,what a disgrace.

It could be worth considering registering with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help now or in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team other than phoning

I suspect this is down to Openreach requirements rather than any failure by Sky.

Unbelievable a knock at the door open reach engineer turned up without any warning to start the work on the new line ,had to send him away as I do not know where I am with the cancellation in progress at the end of the day my contract is with sky

Certainly, but ISP personnel are simply not permitted to work on external Openreach infrastructure (nor are they trained or certified to do so) * : that's the whole point of having a national monopoly maintenance provider.
* a small percentage of ISP field staff are allowed to carry out the last stage of FTTP installation from final pole, duct exit or CSP
