Land line went dead 1st August 22 - Service status indicates no problems - it lies!
There is no simple way to report a fault and gave up listening to suicide music while trying to report.
A simple email address for reporting faults would be beneficial.
Sky - please sort this out

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWe are customers here like yourself. Sky don't use email as a general method of communication. If you are trying to call Sky from your mobile you will have to persevere on the phone I'm afraid. The quieter times are apparently just after 7am or mid evening.

Have been contacted and had long private chat with Tom. The upshot is they cannot arrange for engineer from Openreach until they have exhausted all other possibilities. They concede it may well be an outage and Openreach has not updated their systems to acknowledge it as yet.
The only reason I have the Broadband & Talk as part of my package is sentimentality for a telephone number that I have had for over 40 years. We now all use mobile phones so I don't think I will be renewing that part of the package. Now comes the fun part of trying to cancel

Pleased to report that my land line came back into use 10:00 12th August.
That make 11 days outage. Hopefully Sky will reimburse

See this link re auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it (once it’s fixed).
