Virgin to sky broadband & landline

So broadband & landline with virgin atm, if i get sky broadband and landline, will i still have my current landline number from virgin?? The sky bloke says no! Spoke to virgin and they said yes. I am confused!

Are you getting sky ultrafast?

One possibility is trying port a non openreach number to a non pstn line ie voip/internet calls

yes ultrafast.. but isn't this a simple process of sky porting my current landline from virgin? And keeping the same number??

As far as i am aware the was a case of a sky pstn number not even ported over to sky internet calls. The assumption being that the 2 different call types are held on different databases. You could call sky again for a second opinion
