Unable to use phone because is making a loud noise and the person at the other end can't hear me

I can't make telephone calls, because when I try to dial a number there is a very loud noise in the handset. If someone calls me I can hear them but they can't hjear me. Can anyone help!

@Norman+02Do you have any other means of reporting this fault? If not we can escalate this to Sky.

@Norman+02 are you using a cordless phone? Have you tried replacing the phone handset, if possible?

The problem has disappeared, I suspect sky was at fault.. Thanks for your replies .
