Unable to receive incoming calls on landline.

Okay for awhile now, we have been unable to receive incoming calls on our landline. The caller get a voice message saying "the number you have dialled is unrecognisable ".

if I inplug cable from the intergrated master socket 5C it works once only then reverts back to receiving voice message "the number you have called is unrecognisable "

If calling Sky we’ve been informed that the phone lines will be open:
New Years Eve ~ 0900 til 1800
New Years Day ~ 0800 til 2100

Are you able to make calls?

I assume your master socket has a single output port - if so, are you using a microfilter?

The only recent thing that has changed is we switched from sky + to Sky Q in June this year. The master socket we were told when replaced a couple of years ago is that it has an inter grated filter .

If the master socket has separate ports for broadband and phone, it has a built-in filter. If it has only one port you need a microfilter (I mention it only because Sky are likely to ask).

You'll need to report the problem to Sky. I'm assuming you can still make calls, so give them a ring on 150. Lines are open today and calls to customer services are free.
