I am unable to make or receive telephone calls but broadband is working. Called the landline from my mobile and heard an automated message, "Calls to this number are temporarily unavailable". I have also noticed my local junction box has been damaged. My neighbour's landline is working.

If the green cabinet has been damaged I'm sure Openreach will already be aware but to be on the safe side, and to ensure you're eligible for compensation for loss of service give Sky a call.
See this link re auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it once the fault has been fixed. It will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.
