Unable to make and receive calls on my landline

Cannot make or receive calls. I get the dialling tone when trying to make a call and people trying to call me get told that my number is unavailable

Try running a line test. If an outside fault is disclosed it should allow you to organise an engineers visit and save you calling Sky.

I have same problem. Dialing tone fine but I get the engaged tone when I call any number. Incoming calls get a 'this number is temporarily unavailable' message. I have been trying to call SKY on my mobile, been on hold for 20 minutes. If I follow the link to the 'line test' another user suggested, I just end up with a contact number to call.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you sometime tomorrow regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

Thanks @caesarome for responding. I managed to contact SKY and they tried to fix the problem remotely but couldn't. I have an engineer booked for Thurs. so all now in hand. Thanks Again

I don't understand any symbols nor the term "tag" I can tell you my actual landline no. if that helps but basically my landline is not working. It happened two months ago after BT outreach dug holes in the pavement and a Sky engineer went down two to solve my problem. BT were again working two days ago for my neighbour and now the same thing has happened. Please tell me how to get an engineer to deal urgently.

I also have had the same issue since yesterday morning.Cannot make or receive any calls.Internet is fine.I am in post code HA9 which is Wembley and both Sky and BT deny any issues but when you look on a down detector website it is displaying problems all over London and the UK.There is a  an outage with BT and strangely enough my neighbour who is a BT customer had the same issue with her landline and it was fixed within 30 minutes.

When you do a service status update is says there is still a problem so why are BT and Sky denying it.Messaged Sky  Help on twitter who have reported it.My mother is 89 years old and needs access to the landline as she does not have a mobile.

Unable to make and receive calls on my landlin...

The reason there was no response to the chat thing was because at no time did anything come through with a bubble in the bottom corner. Kept looking for two days. Please is there any other way I can get someone to deal with the dead landline?
