Transferring BT Digital Broadband number to Sky

We currently have BT digital broadband. We want to transfer to Sky Broadband but need to keep the telephone number associated with this line which was previously classified as a landline number but is now accessed through our broadband service. The Sky transfer process appears not to allow you to transfer a number unless it is specifically on a dedicated landline. Is there any way of achieving this and/or can anyone tell me the number to call to get help from Sky.

I would suggest calling Sky about this as they do say it is possible to do this:

Most of the time you can keep your existing number when moving to Sky Talk. Just let us know your existing number and your phone provider when placing your order.

Good to know: Order Sky Talk before cancelling with your current provider – we won’t be able to transfer your number if you cancel with them first.
