The telephone does not ring when ring from a mobile or any phone ,the broadband is ok the master soc

The telephone is not working no ringing tone at all. The broadband is ok we moved some furniture and the master box was knocked. Have checked all equipment all ok The capacitor had fallen out but re installed. When rung from another phone it rings once on your phone and comes up call ended

Sounds like the master socket is damaged. Give Sky a call  to report it on 150 (from your landline).

The socket is not damaged if I try to ring someone it sounds like an audio snow storm. Whether the capacitor has been put back properly I don't know but hope so.

Possibly not, as it's part of the circuit that allows the phone to ring - hence the socket is damaged.

It sounds as if I will need a sky technician to come out and check the master socket and do any necessary repairs or replacements

Give them a call. Theu may be able to determine from a line test where the fault lies.
