The outside fault on my landline still not fixed from last week.

Trying to get help from the virtual assistant is virtualy impossible for me! It sends me round in ever decreasing circles. As my education was pre-calculator, all of this digital tech. communication technical stuff presents a real problem for me. Despite getting my son to report the landline problem last week Tuesday 08/04/2025 to Sky it's still not fixed. It's been established that the fault is outside my property. An Outreach engineer was due to fix it on Thursday 10/04/2025. My son received a message on his mobile on Wednesday 09/04/2025 saying

that the fault has been fixed. Unfortunately my landline is still not working and I can't make outgoing calls or receive incomming calls.

Any useful advice will be gratfully accepted.

Firstly it's Openreach not Outreach. Is your son able to report this to Sky again on your behalf? 

Alternatively we can try to get you some help on here from Skys Messaging Team.

Thanks Daniel, unfortunately my son has not been well and I don't like to bother him. Sky's Messaging team could prove to be the better alternative. How do I contact them ?

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.
If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Firefox, Chrome etc.

I would also recommend that if not already on, that you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Many thanks to all the people on the Community Forum who gave me invaluable help and advice concerning my landline problem.

The Openreach engineer came out yesterday and fixed the problem which was either at the junction box or at the exchange - I forgot to ask!
