Switching deals - losing landline number!
Hi community! I've just renewed my contract for 18 months with Sky - Broadband and anytime calls (same as current deal but £10 a month less) - only to then find that I won't be able to keep my landline number! Grrr...in others' experience, is that actually the case or is there anything I can do to keep the old number? Thanks all.

Re: Switching deals - losing landline number!
Hm. I've not heard of this before and I'm not sure why you would lose your number, unless Sky are forcing a switch to Sky VOIP when you sign up for a further minimum term.
I assume there's no upgrade to your broadband package involved?
Do you already have a Sky Broadband Hub, with 4 lights on the front panel, the fourth being labelled 'Voice'? It might not be lit.

Re: Switching deals - losing landline number!
Hi Mark, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! False alarm I think - I've just logged in to my Sky account and the new contract length is there (up to March '24) but my phone number appear to have stayed the same. Phew 🙂
Thanks again
Chris

That's a relief! I couldn't think of a reason why you should lose your number, so good to know it's not going to happen.
