Last night at 22:45 the police were banging in my door. I didn't know it was them at first the banging got harder and harder and torches were getting shone into the windows! When I answered he asked if my husband lived here and I said yes but he's at work (he's on nights). They said they'd had numerous calls from him since 21:14 and then said it was from our landline. I told them we don't have a landline phone in the house and never have since we moved in 8 years ago, we only use our mobiles. Anyway they went to my husbands work to pretty much only be told the same and then said the only thing they could do was disconnect our landline number from their database so they can't be contacted again using our landline number (as we only use mobiles we weren't bothered).
However, I couldn't sleep after it as it shook me up. I couldn't get my head around it all so I was up most of the night trying to find out what could be happening but got nowhere.
can anyone shed some light on this please?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@ckelsey1988 sorry to hear this - I can imagine it would have shaken you up. I've never heard of it happening before. The only two possibilities I can think of are that there's a fault, a crossed line, perhaps, or extremely unlikely that someone has gained access to your line externally.
I would suggest reporting it to Sky.
