Sky talk shield suddenly stopped family ex directory numbers getting through

Ok, been using sky talk shield for a good number of years now and have moved home.

Set it up, allowerd one ex directory family number to be starred, another not saying it is an unreconised number. Past couple of days the talk shield has stopped letting the other number through with the same message as regards the number. Never had any issues with the system before, always worked faultlessly.

Have removed both numbers and added them manually to the star list, but will still not let either through.

Can anybody out there help please?

Thanks.

Are the numbers withheld, as well as being ex-directory?

Hi, yes, they are both ex d and have previously worked ok. As said, one has not since we moved, the other did and has now stopped,

Thank you for your reply.

Ex-directory and withheld numbers are two different things. The former won't prevent the Shield identifying the caller, but the latter will.

Re: Sky talk shield suddenly stopped family ex directory numbers getting through

Again, thank you for your reply.

I will have to contact sky about this. Have used talk shield at my previous address. The 2 numbers concerned are still the same as they were then, ie, the numbers concerned have not changed or the people moved.

Having turned the system off now, so family can get through, we are being plauged by numerous bogus calls. The best one being from Sky themselves, so they said, wanting me to disclose info to them as claiming my broadband had a fault on it and they could sort it without sending an engineer out!!!

Politely , of couse, asked them not to call again, the Indian accent and phone number thay called from being the big give away!!
