Good afternoon.
I ordered a broadband and talk package. The broadband was installed yesterday. once they all finished I had no phone line. I called sky and was charged a extra 5 euros. I have a contact with Sky stating that Sky broadband and talk was 35 euros for 12 months. How can they now charge me a extra 5 euros

The extra charge was for a sky talk package. I did not want a talk package hust a land line fot people to call me. We have free calls on our mobiles. Seem to alway get a advisor from India but keep saying they are based in Ireland

We want a landline but no calls to get incoming calls. explained this to the advisor but as they are no English or Irish they are not able to understand. This is what happens when you go for the cheaper option and get an Indian callcentre

Note that you cannot have a line with 'just incoming calls': telephony is inherently two-way. What you are after is a Sky Broadband contract with 'Sky Talk Pay As You Talk' (the default voice service) rather than one of the 'Evenings and Weekends Extra', 'Anytime Extra' or 'International Extra' add-ons.

As advised above you need to ask Sky Ireland to change you to the Pay as you talk package then you should be saving money as month as long as you do not make any calls on a landline phone.

I cannot see how they can change when I have a contract saying broadband and sky talk 35 euros then tell me it's another 5 euros. Left without a landline. Even when I explained that I have it in writing. Sky was not wrong. If I break my contract and not keep my end by disconnecting before the 12 months would this be ok as sky have broken the contact by charging for sky talk

I should not have to wait 31 days as I never wanted the extra added was told that this was the only way to get a landline. Now I have been left without a landline . Ask to speak to a manger still waiting. Guess sky are saving money by getting customer services overseas
