Sky fibre phone number if you lose cooper line

Hallo all, I have found if difficult to get a straight answer, , do I definitely keep our number,  when changing to Fibre, copper at the moment for Broadband and phone!

Other isp say no we cant keep as a separated company supplying VOI line ?

Because of age and health we do need to keep our number on copper at the moment.there is a lot of confusion out there!

please if you can cnfirm Sky will, still use the number they hold for us ?

Do you mean when switching to Sky from another provider? Or are you already with Sky and considering upgrading from copper to a full fibre product?

In theory, yes, that should happen, but it's not actually guaranteed.

Only Sky might be able to confirm, but I'd suggest caution if keeping your number is vital.

@Ian2240 it appears from your other post that you've clarified with Sky that you have a different national code, though the number has been retained: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Talk/Sky-did-not-keep-our-home-phone-number/m-p/4791237#M91321

The  good news is you do keep you whole phone number what used to be your area code is still used on Fibre, so no having to tell people you have a new number .

Hope that settles any worries
