I was a Sky broadband and phone customer. Last year I moved to Virgin Media and ported my landline number across. I have several customers (as I run a small business) who are with Sky who have contacted me via mobile / email to ask if I have stopped trading as when they ring my landline number they receive a message to say 'invalid number'. I have checked and Ican call them from my landline but they cannot call me back as they get the 'invalid number'. This is only happening with Sky customers. All other providers (BT, Virgin, EE etc) are able to contact me via my landline number.
I have had Virgin Media run tests on my line and number and there is no problem from the Virgin Media end. I have spoken to a sky agent and as I am not a current customer, there is nothing they can do for me. Has anyone else had this situation? As the problem is only with Sky customers calling my landline what steps can I take to remedy this problem - I am losing customers because of this as they think I have stopped trading and so it is very worrying. Please help!!

I don't believe there's anything more you can do with Sky, for the reason you mentioned - you're not a Sky landline customer.
If Virgin aren't able to progress a fault on your behalf, I can only suggest one of your Sky customers reports it to Sky, who will then be able to investigate.
