Sky are a joke still no phone line
Its just like groundhog day, they tell you that your phone line will be active in 72hrs, then they say another 72hrs and your line will be activated. Then the case worker that is dealing witrh it rings you up and says 24hrs, then the next day rings you up saying its gone to our IT dept, and it will be on in 24hrs, well Sky how long is a piece of string, the biggesty mistake I made is signing anything up with them, there a complete joke, at first they were blaming open reach, its not them its Sky, i would advise anybody dont sign up to Sky as its not worth the agro, how long doers it take to port across a number, Sky are saying its stuck, but you still make sure you take the money, and as of this moment still no landline so i am now getting on to Ofcom, really not happy about this joke of a service

Ofcom don't get involved in individual complaints like this. You need to start the ball rolling with making a complaint to Sky as per this link

If there's no outcome after 8 weeks you can get a deadlock letter and then to the appointed Alternative Dispute Resolution provider.

I have read that, at the end of the day its not good enough, dont tell you things that are not true, it seems to me there are a lot of Sky customers that are having the same issues, these products are sold by Sky so whatever the problems are get them sorted.

Having just spoke to ofcom, my father has underlying health issues and is classed as vulnerable, ofcom have started the ball rolling by emailing Sky

Activation
Hello received a text today saying that my Sky broadband is active, yet it has been active since the 4th october, will this mean my landline is now active or not, also if my phone does not work which is does not, will anyone ringing my landline still get a ringing tone or will it still say, this phone number is currently unavailable thanks

Update.
I still have no landline now its been 17days since it was reported to Sky, although i have had my broadband since the 4th october my question is i am assuming i will get compensation, but will this be from the 4th or the day whick Sky say it was activated, also why do sky say they will cvontact me today for an update, and i have heard nothing

Credit where it is due, a very helpful Sky customer agent spent 1hr 30 mins on the phone last night going through various things to get my landline up and running his name was Mark, he tried so many different things but to no avail but many thanks anyway. It appears they have sorted the porting issues out, however there now appears to be a fault on the line, we need this landline asap due to my fathers underlying health issues

4 weeks now and still no landline, all you get is we are working on the problem in the background, I might as well just get 2 tin cans and a piece of string, it's an absolute joke, why is it taking so long

@Chloe142 If Sky are working on it there isn't really very much we fellow customers can do. You will need to keep contacting Sky.

I agree, however it's just letting other Sky customers know of the issues that there customers are having. Also I do keep contacting Sky, and you get the same answer
