@Rogdjw yes its still the same and been over a month now sinse any updates what so ever so presuming now they just arnt gonner fix it or sort it out its disgusting way to treat customers x

The ceo office has as good as confirmed it wont be fixed- no explanation as to why however

Months ago a Sky employee I was in discussion with let it slip the the reason behind all of this was because the system had been hacked by persons unkown..

@tedglen i think they just thought every 1 had forgoten about it n gone away were not all stupid we kind of know now there not gonner do owt about it and they sky team very rarely put anything on i just dont just landline now.

If it was a hack, and I'm sceptical of that, it was pretty ineffective, as only a relatively small number of customers appear to be affected.

And ALLEGEDLY over 20,000 accounts were affected... hardly a small number.

Maybe you know better than us but the fact people on here are asking questions and affected by it is people affected by a problem that needs sorting every one has there own reasons for needing this service fixing and not being swept under the carpet as it is being !!! 1 person affected is 1 too many in my opinion !!!!

Had a call from head office yesterday about this matter , asked me if i was still getting the same message when i tried to access Sky Talk Shield , i said yes i was so then he asked me to uninstall the app and then reinstall it , i think that i tried this in the past but tried it again anyway , of course it didnt work , he said that he would call again in a few weeks with any updates for me , i am not holding my breath that this will ever get fixed .

Does seem strange that the feature has just disappeared, especially one that's potentially so useful
guess the only real option is to buy a third party call screener

Also, on related matter, what is it with the voice annnouncment of calls ?
if it's a saved number we have it's fine, the phone reads the name out fine, however for a string of numbers it reads them out so fast and so joined up it's unintelligible

Hi, I'm sorry but this isn't good enough. I manage my grandparents sky account, they cannot manage talk shield using the phone or the website themselves, I do this for them and I live 150 miles away.
It is unacceptable that this service is still not working. They are now receiving phone calls from scammers pretending to be sky of all people and I have no way of blocking the calls for them!
They pay for a service and this needs to be fixed asap.

They honestly dont care now the fact this has gone on for so long and nothing makes me believe nothing will be done to fix i have cancer and really need access to the sky talk shield but cant get it thru to them seams unfair that they dont care about paying customers.
