I agree as long as they get their money , what I cannot understand is why is it taking so long to sort this out , I tried blocking on my phone but in the end gave up as it's not so easy as doing it online .

Why is this taking so long to sort out ? This has been going on since last year , I only became aware of it a couple of months ago when I tried to use it , and why are people not being told that it is being looked at by email, if you aren't on this forum you wouldn't have a clue , especially as when I first talked to someone about it I was told no one else had this problem when lots of people have .

Well I don't know about 'lots'. I counted 10 customers reporting the issue here. Only Sky would know whether the issue is more widespread.Hopefully the support teams will be able to identify the cause now that it has been flagged with them.

Sky wouldn't know if their were more than 10 ( still 10 too many as far as I am concerned) because they have been denying their is a problem anyway , which is what happened to me the times that I spoke to someone in the beginning.

I'm tryin to deactivate Sky Talk Shiled temporarily and the reactivate soon after.
When clicking on the option, I get redirected to:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bb-and-talk/talk-shield
and get the message "Server Error"
I have tried the alternate URL WITHOUT the hyphen:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bb-and-talk/talkshield
and that gives the following error:
Whoops, there's been an error
There's been an error loading the page and we can't change your settings right now. If you've just activated Sky Talk Shield it can take up to 24 hours before you can make changes. Please try again later.
There appears to be a fault at the back enbd that only Sky can fix.

Hi Jitty,
If all you want to do is toggle the status of Sky Talk Shield, from your Landline dial 1780 and then press 1. So, if Talk Shield is ACTIVE, 1780-1 will DEACTIVATE it (I had to do thios the other night to allow the ambulance service to call back). I then started getting junk call, so 1780-1 reactivated it.

I know how to do this if i need to on my phone , i just want to go on my ipad and see my star and block lists and do whatever i need to do as i always have done in the past .

@Jitty1 just like we always have been able to untill this anoying glitch and as has been found out once you turn the talk shield off you lose all the numbers stored ive seen that quite a few times there a problem it needs fixing and im not justifying myself for wanting the option to go on app n sort it all out and see it xx

@Jitty1 @Dawn-Tracey I agree, it is much easier to make amendments to Sky Talk Shield using MySky app. This feature used to work fine and priority should be given to correct the issue. I cannot understand why it is taking so long.

@jewers i still wouldnt know others were affected till i stumbled across this thread the numorous times i rang i either couldnt get tany 1 to understand my issue or i was passed round the houses and denyed there was a problem when obviously there is x

As i was told yesterday from someone on here that their is only about 10 people that have this problem , this person is only seeing people commenting on here , what about others that are not on the forum , i only found this forum by accident after i googled the problem .
