Phone line is not working. Voice light off on router since updating boardband.

I have update to faster boardband sine then our phone line has been dead. And the voice light on the router is off and I have reset the router.

Which faster broadband package did you upgrade to? What was the activation date for,the upgrade?

Hi Mark,

 

superfast and it was November and changed to internet phone at that point which has never worked.

Thanks. As the Voice light is off, have you tried plugging your phone into the normal wall socket, rather than the Hub?

We have the same problem, voice light not working, can not receive or make calls as the line is dead. Partner tried ringing from another address and said they had the ring tone but there was no ringing at the hse.

. Phone from this end is totally dead.

Have found this so frustrating as  customer service is non exsistant .

It appears that the community is being used to rectify issues for free.

 Have also found that my account appears to be suspended for no reason.

Seriously reviewing my account with Sky .

At this present time would not recommend Sky to my worst enemy.

Time for a change to a reliable service with an actual customer service not an antiquated  AI stystem.

Have you tried what @Mark39 has suggested in the post above yours ?

 

You say your account is suspended or does your online account say it is restricted ?

@Mark39 @Thanks that worked plugging in to the wall. So Sky have not set up the router after all for internet calls. Thank you for your help.

It would appear not! You must be on a line where it hasn't yet been mandated by Openreach.
