Phone line has stopped working but broadband is ok

I set up talk shield then decided I didn't like it. Switched it off. Could be a coincidence? Either way the phone line is dead but broadband is fine. 

Doesn't seem like you can do a phone line test anymore.

Any ideas ?

@ali12345 You will have to call sky with another phone that is operating and have the see why!

@ali12345 yes, coincidence. Have you tried Sky's Service Checker here for known issues in your area: https://servicestatus.sky.com/#/uk/issues

 

You could try the simple connection test here, even if your broadband seems to be ok: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

I received a message saying to look out for a blue bubble reply on Sunday but heard nothing

Phone line not working

Our phone line has been out of order for a week now. Broadband is fine.

Edit- have found your thread from last week reporting the same. There was no need for a new one. 

 

Have you got means to report this to Sky? They can check the line and pass it to Openreach to investigate.

Our local mobile  mast is down so it's all a bit of a pain. Having to pay to phone them when there should be a means of online contact.

Do you think this message I got saying to look out for a message was genuine or a scam saying that Sky would contact me ? If genuine why didn't they as it was suggested they would ?

I have checked all the posts on this thread. None of them have been escalated to Sky which would have resulted in such a message to look for the chat bubble.
