Outgoing phone calls not possible and despite reporting it and 2 messages saying repaired it is not
Fibre broadband was installed on Wednesday 2 July, incoming phone is okay but cannot make outgoing calls. Getting a dial tone but after dialling any number get a loud beeping sound. Spent £28.30 on mobile calls to Sky trying to get the phone repaired but still cannot make calls for which I am paying £17. Not so much the cost but need phone for medical problems so how can I get some action ? I understand that it is Openreach causing the problem but need it fixing.

When did you last speak to Sky about it? Did Sky tell you they were waiting on Openreach?

Sky did not say Openreach was involved but said that the problem was not at my end so to me that means the exchange or lines so therefore it must be Openreach. But of course they should have made sure everything was okay after Fibre installation and of course outgoing phone calls were not possible so they should put effort in to fix the fault.

Unfortunately it appears that FTTP installers cannot test voice functionality in the limited time they are at the customer premises because voice service doesn't go live at the same time as data.

@TimmyBGood Do you know if this fault on the SR203 is an Sky or a OR issue, setup the neighbours on 18th June FF150 Q Hub swap out no Issues, was well aware and told her takes a 24-48hrs for it all to gel together, and still no outgoing calls, just a weird no connect tone after dial out, incoming seems fine, checked my sky to the number, she checked her mobile, and is going to get her mother to try both landline/mobile to it as on a seperate network.
Sky just do not seem interested in the least, so i am going to go talk with then later today when she get's round to doing it after all her task's for the day are sorted, they have had her Factory reset the SR203 her SE210 the Sky Q Sat box, 3 times now, and i had to go sort it all out last night, get it all working again, told her JUST stop doing this once is enough your just messing everything up!
Not sure of the interaction off the user with the sky CS to what / where / when as she seems well frazzeled by it all and cannot get the answer, just told her last night if someone is dealing with it then it may just all happen after midnight that at least let me leave the system working apart from the phone as i was running out the door!

Reading another post the solution seemed to be turning everything off for 2 hours. This afternoon I received a text message from Sky saying to turneverything off for an hour to cure the problem. So this evening I turned everything off for 2 hours, now we can make outgoing calls. This has taken 6days for it to be solved despite Sky twice before saying the fault had been fixed. Thanks to the Community for the help/answers.

@Colin632 Did you have to wait on sky for anything before the requested leave it off! Neighbour just went ahead and called sky yesterday think i may have not been about when she did the call, but was requested by CS to go down the we NEED to do a Factory reset again, at least this time she said NO, took my friend that's me an hour to get it all back working last night, and this would be the Forth time now you are asking me to do this, from a perfectly working phone 4 weeks ago to now, she informed me this morning that some form of escallation is going to happen, but she has no clue what so ever! Just agreed let it go and see what transpires, but do call or come get me before anything is to get done!
