Our landline rings on the outgoing phone but stays silent on the house phone

Our landline rings on the outgoing phone but stays silent on the house phone. It also does not connect when trying to make outgoing calls. Have bought a new phone thinking this was the issue but still incurring the same issues. Broadband is working.

If you are a new Sky Broadband & Talk customer it is quite normal for the Sky Talk landline to not operate fully for 24+ hours after the broadband activation.

 

If you aren't a new customer and you haven't done it yet, try the below line test. Disregard it saying it will test your broadband
