Open reach faulty telephone line not working properly

Hi there can anyone help me .

I have moved to sky broadband and my openreach line according to openreach is faulty,however i live in a rented flat and the line is in the wall  coming down into the flat, open reach have been out but wont do anything at all becuase they say its not there job ,thats ok i understand but instead of pulling the wall out why cant they just run a new socket into the flat on the outside from the distribution ctr 

Any help that would help me resolves this would help ,i get the impression its too much trouble for openreach to deal with so they just say we cant do it or wont even give me a solution

Can you tell us more about the background to this? Were Openreach involved because you reported the fault to Sky? Was your phone working with your previous provider?

HI the line was faulty when the broadband was with bt, they came out and said it may need upgrading at some point

 I swapped to sky  witH a better broadband deal and  it really has got loads worse now , then, they sent openreach out again and they said we cant do it because its in the wall and the wall needs to be chipped out to get to the phone line ,however i contacted the landlord who said no they cant do the walls ,ask openreach to go from the distributtion box and do it that way, on the outside. All i want is a stable broadband line but openreach say the ywont touch the installation becuase they need ot open the wall to get to the line.

Hopefully that gives a better idea to you

It does, thank you. Unfortunately you seem to be caught in the middle of an impasse between Openreach and your landlord. I can only guess that there are practical reasons why Openreach won't simply install a new cable.

 

As Sky is your provider, all you can do, I think, is raise it with them again.
