So, recently transferred to cable. Landline no longer working. Is it obsolete now? Or has it not been reconnected?

Do you mean fibre? If so, your phone should work correctly if it's plugged into your broadband Hub. It won't work from a wall socket.

@atalaya no, you don't need a microfilter. Just plug your phone straight into the socket at the back of the Hub.
