Not receiving incoming calls on landline

I have transferred over to Sky 2 days ago asked to keep my landline telephone no.
Phone is plugged into Sky Hub as advised, I can make calls but unfortunately I am not receiving any incoming calls. The person ringing gets the message "this no is not in service' . I have tried switching off the hub and then turning it back on but still no incoming calls.  
Everything is setup as per instructions, so I'm a little unsure  as to what is happening as it is impossible to speak to anyone in Sky to get an answer.

Help please.

Have you dialled 17070 from your landline phone and listened to the automated message which tells you your landline number? It might have changed.

Hi i dialled 17070 and the telephone is correct. I requested a call back which I received after 2 minutes. However if I ring the number using my mobile I get the message no is not in service. Am I doing something wrong?

Is this a black Hub, or a white one?

There's sometimes a delay in fully activating the phone service on a white Hub. I'd suggest leaving it until tomorrow, then carrying out a factory reset, by pressing the WPS button for 30 seconds. If you still have no incoming calls, it's probably best to report it to Sky. We can ask Sky's messaging team tomorrow to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish.

I did that but still not receiving incoming calls.

 

Spoke to a Sky person who was very helpful, when he called I received the incoming call but when my neighbour  tried to call me I didn't receive the call. The Sky guy has passed on the problem to technicians. Hopefully they can sort it on Monday.
