Despite being a Sky member with TV/Talk/Internet for almost two decades, we can no longer suffer through the slow broadband speeds we're getting (the 'fastest' is around 5mbps apparently!) and want to switch to another broadband provider.
We've been told that if we ditch the Broadband package, we'll also lose out on our Talk/landline! Can anyone confirm if this is true? We'd rather keep TV+Talk with sky, but read that it may not be possible (i.e., cancelling broadband cancels your phone service too.)
If that's true, does anyone know if it's a guarantee that your phone number is maintained if we switch it to another provider?
Thanks!

There isn't a way to have Sky Talk without Sky Broadband. Sky television is unaffected by switching ISP, apart from a small change in Sky Q wireless functionality.
While Ofcom has a general expectation that number porting should happen, it doesn't insist on that where one or both providers say it's not technically possible, so there's no guarantee.
