Hi,
I have just had Full fibre broadband put in on 14/08, all is working except when I tried to give my mum a call on the landline, there is no dialling tone. Today is the 19/08, still no landline.
So when you have full fibre broadband, is it true that you get your landline taken off you? Or do I need to be more patient? I don't make Internet calls and everything is plugged in the right places. Any ideas?

Switching the Hub off for 30 seconds or so is a good idea (not sure the screaming will help much, though, apart from venting your frustration!).
When it has restarted, the Voice LED on the front should be green.

No: there's a voice call service bundled with all Sky broadband, although it's very expensive to make calls using it unless an inclusive add-on is purchased.

If you have full fibre, you do have Internet calls and your phone needs to be plugged into your broadband Hub.

Hi, thank you.
I can't make Internet calls - don't even knows what that means, my phone has been plugged in the router, is that correct? On my landline I have no dialling tone and I am not sure who to contact.

Re: No landline, full fibre broadband
Did you previously have Sky broadband and upgraded to Full Fibre or did you change providers to Sky?
Yes the compatible phone plugs into the back of the hub into the slot showing the 📞 UK symbol.

Re: No landline, full fibre broadband
Hi
I did have Sky broadband and I have just checked my bill, Internet calls are not included which means my landline should be working.
No dialling tone, followed the steps in the guide.
So frustrating.

Yes, your phone needs to be plugged into your broadband Hub. Do you have a black Hub, or white?
(Internet calls just means your calls are carried across the internet, rather than the old copper cable, which is why your phone has to be plugged into your Hub, not the wall socket. That aside, the way you make and receive calls, and call charges are just the same).

Re: No landline, full fibre broadband
Hi,
I have got the black hub, the engineer has put the phone socket in the back of the hub so every thing is in the right place but I don't understand why I have no dialling tone on my landline and I don't make Internet calls. So I might just switched every thing off, scream 😱 and then turn it back on again.

Always worth checking the phone connection is fully in
but I don't understand why I have no dialling tone on my landline and I don't make Internet calls.
As we've stated already if you have full fibre you DO have internet calls. You just haven't made any yet though.
