No landline and no update from Sky on repair progress

We have been without phone since the end of October.  We had an engineer visit and he diagnosed a broken line between the telegraph poles in the street and the work was scheduled tobe done in Nov 2nd.  Sky promised an update on Thursday and called me back, contacted OpenReach and were assured that the work would be done 'within 48 hours'.  Since then I have heard nothing and nothing has been done.  We are still without landline and with slow broadband.  The online servce checker just comes back with an automated message saying there is an outage and 'it may take some hours' to fix.  The telephone helpline also now comes back with an automated message sayin that there is an outage and it is being worked - would I like to be notified when it has been fixed.  I would rather have idea when it is going to be fixed, but there no longer seems to be any way to talk to a person.

Sky 'help' does seem to be supremely unhelpful in these circamstances.

If you want updates then you are going to have to call Sky as we are customers here so can't help you with this. Sky will be at the mercy of Openreach and what probably hasn't helped if that they have been taking strike action recently so there is probably a back log of work like this to be done.
