Hi All,
Since moving to Sky we have not been able to get incoming calls, except (oddly) from one person.
Outbound calls are fine
Internet is fine
All router lights are green
We've done all the obvious checks whilst on calls with sky support to discount the usual issues
The last conversation I had the Sky support person told me my issue was "part of a wider ongoing issue affecting many customers, that has been going on for months with no stated end date". They also said that they "needed to investigate my issue more".
These two statements seem contradictary to me. If it's a known issue thats affecting me, why the need for specific investgation?
Additionally the first call I had indicated the issue was with OpenReach, and I had an update to say it had been fixed, which it hadn't.
Question I had was:
- Is there a wider issue with not recieving calls? Are many users encountering this?
- Is there something else I should be doing to get it fixed?
We've been customers since the start of June and in that time have yet to have a working inbound phone line.
Many thanks for any steers on this. There are a number of issues that mean having this number working is really important to me. It's been the family number since the 70s and people are now recieveing a message saying the number is incorrect or doesn't work when they phone me.

Quick update.
They dispatched a new router to try. No joy. Still call failed when dialling in to the landline.

Thanks - yep - I have another call with them booked in for tomorrow.
I was just wondering if anyone else has similar, given they told me I was one of a large group of Sky Talk users who have been experiencing this same issue, and it had been going on for many months, I was wondering if anyone else here had been told the same?
Seems like if that were true they'd be a group of us here having heard similar?

Thanks - I did wonder. Felt like a strange response yesterday, just wanted to check with the community.
I'll get back in touch with them.
